How to Get a SRRC certificate?

How long does it take to get SRRC certificate?

Normally, the whole process of SRRC certification will take about 8 weeks, of which it will take 30 days for SRRC body to issue the certificate, product test will cost 7 days, submitting application 7 days and about 7 days for other issues.

What products need SRRC certificate?

Those products such as mobile phones, NB-loT devices, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G wireless data terminals, products with Bluetooth function, products with WIFI function are all included in SRRC scope.

Generally speaking, China SRRC product scope can be divided into SEVEN categories:

1. Various radio devices that emit radio waves  
2. Mobile communication equipment
3.  Bluetooth devices
4. Wireless LAN equipment
5. RFID devices  
6. Intercom equipment  
7. Short-range micro-power equipment

Note: items without wireless transmission functions such as radio do not need SRRC certification. 

The cost of SRRC certificate

SRRC official charges ZERO yuan for SRRC certificate. SRRC is free since the year of 2018.

The process to get SRRC certification for free as below:

Step One

To register SRRC account on the webste www.miit.gov.cn.

Step Two

And SRRC body will assign you an accredited lab.

Step Three

After signing the agreement with the lab, you need to pay some deposit to the lab and then start the test. (The first-time test is free.) The lab must feedback the test result to SRRC body(the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) within five working days (this means that if the test result is unqualified, you will have no time to correct it).  

Step Four

If the test is qualified, the SRRC certificate will be issued.  If the test is not qualified, it is necessary for you to pay the second-time test fee. (By the way, the second-time test is very high charged by SRRC body) When the test is not qualified, you need to apply for SRRC certification again, accordingly your cost and time will be increased.

Step Five

If your test is qualified at the first time, please submit the product sales contract to SRRC body (proving that the product must be sold in China), and then SRRC body will return the deposit you paid in the early stage by the way of financial subsidy. By this stage, you get SRRC certificate for free successfully.

(Please note: Your deposit can be returned only when your devices pass the test for the first time. If your device test failed at the first time, you can’t get your deposit back. The amount of your deposit varies in devices. If you want to know more, please contact our SRRC expert.)

What documents do SRRC certification require?

1. Application form (two copies);  

 2. letter of authorization (two copies);  

 3. Business license (valid annual inspection);  

4.Samples. The number may vary in different products. Three to five samples with RF line (i.e. RF port or SMA port) are required;  

 5. ISO certificate or company profile and company power description;  

6. Product specifications, circuit diagrams, instructions, block diagrams, operation instructions, etc.;  

 7. Antenna Peak Gain and Antenna pattern;  

 8. Test direction;  

 9. 3 copies of color photos of EUT (including each interface and each side);  

 10. Frequency channel comparison table (it should be provided if there are many working channels, such as DSSS or FHSS products).
