China Compulsory Certification

What is CCC?

CCC Certification, also known as China Compulsory Certification, abbreviated as CCC or 3C. CCC certification mark is “CCC”, is the product certification system of the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the State in accordance with the Mandatory Product certification management provisions (The People’s Republic of China General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine order no. 5).

CCC is a product conformity assessment system implemented by the Chinese government under Chinese laws and regulations in accordance with relevant WTO agreements and international prevailing rules in order to protect the personal and animal life, protect the environment and protect national security. The main features are as follows: unified national catalogue, technical rules and implementation procedures; unified applicable national standards; unified marks; unified pricing standards. Products listed in the mandatory product certification catalogue can’t enter into the market before they are qualified by the national designated certification body, obtain the relevant certificate and make CCC mark.

The cost of CCC

CCC certification is charged from the below aspects:

1. Certificate registration and application fee

The application fee is 500RMB, charged by CQC official.

Registration fee is 800RMB, charged by CQC official as well.

Note:If the documents you offered is not in Chinese, related translation fees will be charged. The translator of our company has a sound knowledge of English and CCC with the certificate of TEM8(Level 8, test for English major). The maximum translation service fees shall not exceed 1000RMB.

2. Factory inspection fee

The market price is generally 2000-2500RMB/per person each day. It will cost 5000RMB for a factory with 150 employees in China.

3. Product testing fees:

Part A. Cost of full inspection

Product full inspection fees refer to cost list published by the CQC body.

Test standard: GB13837-2012, GB17625.1-2012, GB8898-2011

Test cost: RMB12000~16000 (the exact cost is up to product specifications.)

Part B. Random testing fees:

If the key components of the device doesn’t get the CCC certificate, the device is required to perform Random testing fees.

How to get CCC certificate?

Simply speaking, CCC certification includes FOUR procedures: Type test, Factory inspection, Conformity assessment, Supervision after certificate issued.

The applicant can’t share a CCC across multiple models. The devices of the same model produced by different manufacturers can’t share the same CCC, either.

How long does the CCC certification take?
