founded in 1998, a private non-profit alliance with the right to develop Bluetooth trademark and Bluetooth standard;

You must be compliant with the Bluetooth Patent & Copyright License Agreement, if you uses the Bluetooth trademarks (Bluetooth word mark, figure mark, and combination mark) to market its product as Bluetooth enabled.

BQB certification charging standards of SIG official
1. Membership level (based on company):
Adopter Member: exempt from annual fee;
Listing fee for single product: 9600 USD/QDID. (since January 1st,2022)
2. Membership level (based on company) :
Associate Member:
Annual fee: $42,000 for companies with more than $100million in annual revenue;
$9000 for companies with less than $100 million in annual revenue;
Obtain Bluetooth specification in advance and participate in specification formulation and discussion;
Listing fee for single product: 4800 USD/QDID.

Bluetooth BQB Certification Methods
1. Qualified Design Listings
For the new chips and products/designs (the circuits are self-designed), it is mandatory to purchase DID and conduct QDID listing after testing.
2. Reference Listings
For certified chips, modules or branding(with no change), it can be listed directly and doesn’t need test. Since it is a reference to a certified design, there will be no QDID.
3. Add Models
When the same products has different model names, or when the same design just has a little change(such as the same Bluetooth chip with a different circuit.), it can add models to the existing DID. Although it is no need to purchase a new DID, it is necessary to conduct related test for the updated parts.
How long is the Bluetooth BQB certification period?
Generally speaking, it takes 3-4 weeks to complete the BQB certification.
What information do I need to apply for BQB certification?
a. Application Form for Bluetooth certification (basic information of the product)
b. ICS/PIXIT (used to confirm the scope of the test)
c. Letter/NDA (Non-disclosure Agreement)_QDL(only be used when authorization)
d. DoC/SDoC (manufacturer declaration) _listing will provide documents for signature
e. Technical documents
